Laporan Penyerahan 100 Buah Al-Qur’an Dari Sinarmas Forestry and Partners Untuk Masyarakat di Kecamatan Tanjung Lago Kabupaten Banyuasin

Kecamatan Tanjung Lago mempunyai wilayah seluas 829,40 km2 dan terbagi menjadi 15 desa. Desa terluas yaitu desa Kuala Puntian dengan luas wilayah 313,60 km2 atau sekitar 38,44% dari luas wilayah Kecamatan Tanjung lago, sedangkan desa dengan luas terkecil adalah desa Purwosari dengan wilayah 7,23 Km2 atau sekitar 0,89% dari luas wilayah Kecamatan Tanjung Lago. Pada pertengahan tahun 2013 jumlah penduduk Kecamatan Tanjung Lago sebanyak 36.256 jiwa atau sebesar 4,64% dari total penduduk Banyuasin. Pengembangan pertanian lahan rawa merupakan ajang baru pembangunan pertanian yang selama ini masih tertumpu pada lahan sawah irigasi dan lahan kering. Berdasarkan peta satuan lahan dan peta tanah tingkat tinjau menunjukkan bahwa lahan rawa di Indonesia diperkirakan seluas 33,4 Juta Ha, yang terdiri dari 20,1 juta Ha lahan pasang surut dan 13,3 juta ha lahan rawa lebak. Potensi pengembangan pertanian padi di daerah Sumatra Selatan cukup besar. Dari seluruh jumlah luas sawah yang ada, baru 12% sawah dengan pengairan teknis, sedangkan potensi sawah dengan pengairan masih meliputi 295.000 ha, dan potensi persawahan pasang surut meliputi 500.000 ha.
